Historic New England’s fall fundraiser, Raise the Roof, generated more than $182,000 toward roof repair work at ten Historic New England properties ranging in date from 1690 to 1907, including six National Historic Landmarks.
More than 150 guests gathered at the historic Lyman Estate for a festive afternoon of BBQ, live bluegrass from the band Four Bridges, cider, carnival games, and lots of seasonal fun. Shacksbury provided their “daring and complex” hard cider, Valley View Farm did pairings with local cheeses such as Topsfield Chevre and Pingree Hill Tomme, and Wilson Farm offered fresh local apple cider and apple cider donuts.

Historic New England trustees Sidney Kenyon and Gregory Lombardi were co-chairs for the event. The LaGassé Group, Custom Builders was the lead sponsor. There was also generous support from many other sponsors and donors.
