Creating a Scrapbook

What do your favorite things say about you?

At Pierce House or Your Site

We have learned a lot about the Pierce family’s history through documents that they left behind. Antoinette Louise Pierce lived about a hundred years ago and kept scrapbooks where she saved newspaper clippings, pictures, and keepsakes that tell us about her and what she was like.

After looking at reproductions of Antoinette’s scrapbooks, students create their own scrapbook pages to take home and fill with their favorite things like photographs, ticket stubs, and magazine articles, to reflect what life is like for them in the twenty-first century.
